Smart Watch OEM FAQ

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) means you customize an existing design with your brand, logo, packaging and UI — MOQ 1,000, no tooling fees. ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) means the factory designs and manufactures a new product for you — MOQ 3,000, tooling $5K–$30K, 100% IP to you with NDA. As a wearable device manufacturer in Shenzhen, Vositone offers both. For startups, white label from 300 pcs (Smart Wearable Jewelry only) lowers cost and accelerates time-to-market. Meanwhile, established brands needing unique design often prefer ODM for full control.

Vositone stands out among smartwatch OEM factories in Shenzhen for three key reasons. First, we offer clear MOQ tiers — OEM from 1,000 units, ODM from 3,000, white label from 300 pcs (Smart Wearable Jewelry only) — ideal for startup brands and Amazon FBA testing. Second, we provide a full product line covering smartwatches, smart bands, smart rings, AI glasses, Bluetooth earbuds, and smart jewelry. Third, our end-to-end services span from initial design through to FBA prep shipping. We deliver self-owned certifications (including FCC, CE, CA65, RoHS) with every order. For these reasons, we have become a smartwatch supplier for Amazon FBA sellers worldwide.

Follow these essential steps. To begin with, verify the factory license and ISO 9001:2015 certification. Next, request a video factory tour. Additionally, always order samples before committing to a bulk production run. Also, check client references and reviews. Finally, use secure payment terms (30% deposit, 70% before shipment). Vositone offers live video inspection and third-party QC services. As a result, our clients enjoy peace of mind when working with us — a factory-direct partner operating since 2010 (founding team) and legally incorporated as Vositone Technologies Co. Ltd. in 2013, serving clients in the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Japan/Korea, and Southeast Asia.

Our standard workflow proceeds as follows. Step 1: Requirements discussion and quotation. Step 2: Design confirmation covering appearance, specifications, and firmware. Step 3: Sample production within 10–15 working days (7-day rush). Step 4: Client approval. Step 5: Bulk production — OEM 30–45 days, ODM 45–60 (complex to 90). Step 6: Quality control inspection including 48-hour battery aging and waterproof testing. Step 7: DDP shipping or FBA prep and final delivery. This is our standard smartwatch OEM customization workflow from China. Moreover, we provide OEM smartwatch with FBA prep service specifically for Amazon sellers.

A trading company typically sources from multiple factories and marks up prices accordingly. A real factory, in contrast, owns the production line with in-house SMT, a dedicated testing lab, and an R&D team. Vositone is a wearable factory with 70+ engineers and 30+ patents that maintains direct control over quality, pricing (offering verified FOB pricing from Shenzhen), and lead time. When evaluating suppliers, always ask for: the factory address, a video of the production line, and the ISO 9001 certificate. Vositone welcomes factory visits and video calls to provide full transparency.

Vositone offers clear MOQ tiers: OEM from 1,000 units (smart bands from 2,000; smart rings from 500); ODM (full custom) from 3,000; white label from 300 pcs — Smart Wearable Jewelry only; logo engraving from 100; dropshipping no minimum. No smartwatch line starts below the 1,000-unit OEM floor.

FOB Shenzhen pricing: smart bands from $9.9; entry smart watches from $14.5; white-label from $15.50; standard OEM $20–$100 (typical $38–$100); ECG $60–$240; ODM $25–$80 plus tooling $5K–$30K. Price depends on display, casing, sensors, battery and certifications. Contact us for a detailed price list.

Total cost depends on specs, MOQ, and customization level. For a custom smartwatch with your own logo, OEM starts at 1,000 units with FOB pricing per the tiers above. White label at 300 pcs applies to Smart Wearable Jewelry only. Additional costs include ODM tooling ($5K–$30K) and custom packaging. FOB Shenzhen covers product cost only; shipping (DDP, CIF, EXW) is quoted separately.

Standard terms are 30% deposit plus 70% before shipment. Accepted methods: T/T, L/C, PayPal, Western Union, Alibaba Trade Assurance, Credit Card. Net 30 is available for qualified buyers. For first-time clients working with a custom smartwatch manufacturer, we recommend starting with a sample order to build mutual trust.

The standard lead time: samples 10–15 working days (7-day rush); OEM mass production 30–45 days; ODM 45–60 days (complex to 90); white label 15–25 days; medical up to 60. In-stock dispatch is 7 days. Smart ring and smart band samples follow the same 10–15 day (7-day rush) sampling window.

Yes, absolutely. Vositone provides full customization including custom UI/UX, personalized watch faces, feature enablement and disablement, custom notification logic, and a white-label companion app for iOS and Android (rebranded with your logo). Custom smartwatch (OEM) starts at 1,000 units. White label at 300 pcs applies to Smart Wearable Jewelry only. Logo engraving on existing stock from 100 pcs. For the OEM tier we offer custom logo on device and packaging, a white-label app, custom watch faces, and FOB Shenzhen pricing. Many clients start with the OEM tier to test the market before scaling to ODM.

Vositone respects and actively protects client IP with signed NDA agreements. 100% of IP belongs to the client — your custom design, firmware, and all brand assets remain your exclusive property. Furthermore, we do not resell custom designs to other clients. For clients asking how to protect your smartwatch design when working with a China OEM factory — ensure your contract includes both non-disclosure and non-compete clauses. Vositone provides these protections by default.

Vositone holds self-owned certifications: CE (RED), FCC (Part 15), CA65, RoHS, GCC, REACH, WEEE, ISO 9001:2015. FDA 510(k) / EU MDR / ISO 13485 are assist-customer only — not factory-held. IP68 is a product rating, not a certification. Amazon requires FCC for US listings and CE for EU listings; we provide certification support for all target markets including the Gulf region (GCC).

ISO 9001:2015 certifies a factory's quality management system. It ensures consistent product quality, fully traceable processes, and continuous improvement. Vositone is ISO 9001 certified — meaning every factory-direct order follows standardized production and QC procedures. FDA 510(k) / EU MDR / ISO 13485 for medical-grade lines are assist-customer only.

Yes, it does. Any device with wireless connectivity — Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or cellular — sold in the US requires FCC certification. This requirement applies to smart ring, AI glasses, and Bluetooth earbuds products alike. Vositone handles FCC/CE certifications across all product lines (self-owned certifications). Furthermore, we provide RoHS compliance documentation required for EU markets.

The distinction lies in submersion depth and duration. IP67 means protection against immersion in 1m of water for 30 minutes — suitable for splash and rain protection. IP68 means protection against immersion in 1.5m+ water for 30+ minutes — making it swim-proof. Vositone offers both IP67 and IP68 options across our OEM lineup. For a smart ring for swimming, IP68 is the recommended choice.

Vositone is a smartwatch supplier for Amazon FBA sellers. Specifically, we provide FBA prep service covering barcode labeling, poly bagging, and box preparation (free FBA prep). We also offer DDP shipping (delivered duty paid — all customs and duties included) to Amazon warehouses across US, EU, UK, JP and AU, with transit 10–18 days. Express takes 3–7 days; sea freight 15–25 days. For these reasons, we are a DDP smartwatch supplier for USA clients.

Yes, we do. We offer full custom smartwatch packaging and branding options including Amazon barcode (FNSKU) labeling, custom retail boxes with your logo, poly bagging, and export cartons. For the best white-label smartwatch manufacturer for Amazon FBA sellers — Vositone's FBA-ready service makes us a strong choice. Additionally, we provide FBA prep and direct shipping to Amazon warehouses across the USA, Europe, UK, Japan and Australia.

Use this simple formula: Total cost = Unit price (FOB Shenzhen) × Quantity + DDP shipping fee + customs duties (included in DDP) + FBA prep fee (free at Vositone). For example, 1,000 smartwatches at $38/unit equals $38,000. DDP sea freight to the USA is quote-based — request a quote for your volume. FBA prep is free. Vositone provides a transparent total cost quote for all clients — request one at get-a-quote.

Vositone offers a 12-month manufacturer warranty covering manufacturing defects affecting the battery, display, sensors, and software (a 2-year statutory consumer legal guarantee applies in EEA/UK/CH as required by local law). We provide replacement units for confirmed defective products. Normal wear and tear, physical damage, and water damage from misuse are excluded. Our responsive after-sales support includes multi-language technical documentation and spare parts supply.

Each form factor has distinct advantages. A smart band offers lower cost (FOB from $9.9), a smaller form factor, simpler features, and longer battery life. It works best for fitness-focused brands and budget-conscious buyers. A smartwatch, on the other hand, has higher cost (standard OEM $20–$100, typ $38–$100), a larger display, more features (GPS, Bluetooth calling, SpO2, NFC), and shorter battery life. It suits tech-focused brands better. As a private-label smart band and smart watch OEM provider, Vositone offers both options with clear MOQ tiers (smart bands OEM from 2,000; smartwatches OEM from 1,000; ODM from 3,000).

Smart rings are discreet and worn 24/7. They excel at sleep tracking and continuous health monitoring. Fitness bands, meanwhile, offer larger batteries, brighter displays, and real-time workout feedback. For health monitoring purposes, smart rings provide better overnight compliance since people keep them on, while bands offer more daytime features. Vositone serves as a smart ring and smart band OEM supplier — smart rings OEM from 500; smart bands OEM from 2,000; ODM from 3,000.

Vositone is an AI smart glasses OEM/ODM partner for enterprise clients via its smart glasses product line. OEM from 1,000; ODM from 3,000. Features include Bluetooth calling and voice assistant; FOB from $22.5. See our AI smart glasses line for details.

As a result, we strike the right balance between clear MOQ tiers and uncompromising quality for quality-conscious brands.

Core sensors for a 2026 smartwatch OEM include: a PPG heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, an accelerometer, and a gyroscope. Premium configurations add ECG (electrocardiogram), a temperature sensor, and optional NFC. Sensor configurations are indicative — Vositone supports multiple options across price tiers via OEM/ODM.

AMOLED delivers the best color, contrast, and power efficiency with always-on display capability — ideal for premium smartwatch OEM products. LCD offers lower cost and good outdoor brightness, making it suitable for budget models. Vositone offers both display options across our OEM lines. For most brands launching in 2026, AMOLED is the recommended choice.

Battery life is indicative and depends on display type, sensor usage, and firmware. In general, models with TFT displays and minimal features offer longer battery life, while AMOLED models with GPS and always-on display consume more power. Vositone optimizes battery life through efficient firmware and battery management. Specify your target battery life in your RFQ and we will recommend the matching configuration.

Most current smartwatch and smart band models use Bluetooth 5.x, which offers better range, stability, and power efficiency than earlier versions. certification is included among Vositone's self-owned certifications. Confirm the exact SoC and Bluetooth version against your target market and app requirements.
