THE 16TH CHINA-LAC BUSINESS SUMMIT

The 16th China-LAC Business Summit

Initiated by CCPIT in 2007, the China-LAC Business Summit is held annually by China and LAC countries in rotation. So far, the summit has been successfully hosted for 15 years and each summit received much attention from the political and business communities of China and LAC countries. Each year, more than thousands of people including state leaders, senior officials, heads of international organizations and business leaders from both sides attended the event. Last year, President Xi Jinping delivered a written speech at the opening ceremony of the 15th China-LAC Business Summit, highly praising the important role played by the Summit in promoting economic and trade cooperation and deepening cultural exchanges between China and LAC countries over the past 15 years since its establishment.

Due to the large number of participants in the Summit, the badge will be issued at Gate C1 on the first floor of the National Convention Center (Address: No.7 Tian chen East Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on November 1st, please bring your valid documents to receive the badge in advance, ID documents will be required if receiving for other people. In order to avoid any inconvenience caused by venue control and other reasons on November 2nd, please try your best to collect the badge by yourself or by others on November 1st.

This Summit adopts the mode of “Guidance by Leaders, Promotion by Business Associations and Participation by Entrepreneurs”, committed to demonstrating China’s unwavering commitment to high-level opening and high-quality development, showing the enduring and ever-strengthening pragmatic cooperation between China and Latin America. It also seeks to nurture the deep-rooted  friendship between China and Latin American countries, emphasizing mutual support and co-development, and highlighting the unique contribution made by Beijing to the mutual growth and cooperation of China and Latin America.

China-LAC Business Summit is the first institutional platform in China that promotes economic and trade cooperation with Latin America and the Caribbean. Since established in 2007, it has been held annually in China and Latin America in rotation. So far, 15 summit sessions have taken place across locations including China, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Costa Rica, Mexico, Uruguay, Panama and Ecuador. Each summit focuses on the development trend of international economic and trade, and provides a platform for extensive and in-depth discussions on China-LAC trade and investment policies, market opportunities and mutually beneficial cooperation based on the major concerns of the business circles in China and Latin America.
